The lecture introduces students to EU politics from the vantage point of comparative politics. Applying institutional and strategic models to contemporary EU politics, we give students an introduction to actors, institutions and processes in the EU.
Causal Inference and Public Policy in Europe

The course works with the potential outcomes framework. We talk about how causal relations are understood in terms of counterfactuals, and the assumptions necessary to identify causal effects, as well as common challenges and pitfalls.
